I recently tried my hand at a Chicken Parm Sliders recipe that totally blew my mind. I started with 1 lb of boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced and seasoned with 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp pepper and a pinch of garlic powder.

After lightly coating the chicken in 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, I dipped the pieces into 2 beaten eggs before dredging them in Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs mixed with 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese. Then i baked these golden pieces in 2 cups of marinara sauce, layering in 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese, all nestled between 12 slider rolls.

I even drizzled a bit of olive oil for that extra crisp off the fry edge. This Chicken Parmesan Slider Bake is a fun twist on classic Chicken Parmesan, perfect as an appetizer snack or finger food when you’re in the mood for something different.

Why I Like this Recipe

I really like this recipe because it gives me that perfect mix of crispy chicken and melty cheese that just makes me feel all warm inside. I love that the slider rolls soak up all that saucy goodness, making every bite a burst of flavor. I also like how simple it is – even if it looks kinda fancy, the steps are straight forward and fun to follow. And, I appreciate that it has a twist on the classic Chicken Parmesan, which makes it feel like a totally new take on an old favorite.

So here’s my version of the Chicken Parmesan Slider Bake Recipe that I swear is super fun to make. First, you season your thin chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder then dredge them in flour. After that, dip each one in beaten eggs and coat them with a mix of Italian breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese. Next, heat up some olive oil in a big skillet until it’s nice and hot, then fry the chicken until they turn golden-brown on both sides.

While the chicken is frying, preheat your oven to 375°F and lightly grease a baking dish. Spread about 1 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom of the dish. Once your chicken is ready, lay them on top of the sauce and drizzle over the rest of the marinara. Then, toss a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese all over. What I really dig is arranging the slider rolls around or on top of the chicken, pressing them in so they soak up the flavors. Pop everything in the oven for roughly 15 to 20 minutes until the cheese is all melty and bubbly. When it’s done, feel free to toss a few fresh basil leaves on top if you’re into that. Get ready to enjoy one of my absolute fav comfort food meals!

  • Mozzarella cheese melts into a gooey, stringy layer that elevates every slider bite.
  • Parmesan cheese adds a savory kick and an extra saltiness that balances the sauce perfectly.
  • Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs provide a crunchy texture and are a good source of carbohydrates.

FAQ

Chicken Parm Sliders Recipe Substitutions and Variations

  • Instead of chicken breasts, you could try thinly sliced turkey or even pork cutlets for a fun twist.
  • If you don’t have Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs, you can mix plain breadcrumbs with dried Italian herbs like oregano and basil.
  • If Parmesan cheese is not available, Pecorino Romano works well as its flavor is a bit sharper.

Pro Tips

1. Try not to over-fry the chicken; if it cooks too long it can turn dry and lose its juiciness so keep an eye on it while its in the pan
2. Make sure to let the chicken rest for a few minutes after frying before you add the sauce, this helps the flavor to set and keeps the meat tender
3. Don’t be afraid to adjust the cheese amount to your liking; sometimes a little extra mozzarella can really amp up the flavor, just make sure it gets evenly melted
4. When adding the slider rolls, you could give them a quick toast with a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of garlic powder to boost their crunch and overall taste
