I employ many inventive techniques to guarantee that my New Year’s Eve shindig is memorable. One of these is the ridiculous-but-fun Champagne Jello Shot.
Sparkling wine and gelatin are the main ingredients, but their preparation allows for so much more. I use brut champagne for a crisp base; a splash of peach schnapps can give the Jello Shots more than enough sweetness.
If this were a plated dessert, I would dust the surface with gold edible glitter. Instead, I use that glitter in a more last-minute application: I add it directly to the shots after I take them out of the fridge.
And I use the glitter, not as a plating technique, but as an opportunity to make Jello Shots way more visually appealing.
The 20 Best New Years Champagne Jello Shots
1. Classic Champagne Jello Shots
Classic Champagne Jello Shots are my go-to for any celebration that calls for a touch of class. They’re truly easy to make.
They take about 15 minutes to combine the basic ingredients—bubbly, ginger ale, unflavored gelatin, and a touch of sugar—into a sparkling elixir that oozes, rather than wobbles, when served. They’re fully set within a few hours, and they’re ready to serve with just stir and a sprinkle of edible glitter (if you’ve got it) to make them dazzle.
Ingredients
1 cup champagne or sparkling wine
1 cup ginger ale or lemon-lime soda
2 packets (0.5 ounces each) unflavored gelatin
1/4 cup sugar
Edible glitter or sprinkles (optional, for garnish)#
Instructions
1. In a medium saucepan, combine the ginger ale or lemon-lime soda and sprinkle the gelatin over the top. Allow it to rest for about 2 minutes so the gelatin can bloom.
2. Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir constantly until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Do not let it come to a boil.
3. Take the saucepan off the heat and blend in the sugar until it completely dissolves.
4. Let the mixture cool a bit, then add the champagne gradually, stirring slowly to mix it in while keeping the bubbles to a minimum.
5. Pour the mixture into shot glasses or silicone molds. Refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours, or until the consistency is gel-like
6. If you wish, you can add some edible glitter or sprinkles, so it looks cute when you serve it.Â
2. Sparkling Champagne Mimosa Jello Shots
I’ve found a delightful, party-ready dessert that marries the effervescence of champagne with the freshly squeezed juice of an orange. These elevated jello shots have a vodka kick and can be garnished with an orange slice or a touch of edible glitter.
They are perfect for New Year’s Eve, a bachelorette party, or any occasion that calls for a festive dessert!
Ingredients
1 cup champagne or sparkling wine
1 cup orange juice
1/4 cup vodka
2 packets unflavored gelatin
2 tablespoons sugar
Orange slices or zest (for garnish)
Edible glitter (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
1. In a medium saucepan, measure 1 cup of fresh orange juice. Sprinkle the surface with unflavored gelatin and allow it to sit for about 2 minutes. This ensures that the gelatin will dissolve evenly.
2. Place the combination over low heat, and stir constantly until the gelatin and sugar are completely dissolved. This will take about 5 minutes ..
3. To the gelatin mixture, add 1 cup of champagne and 1/4 cup of vodka, and stir gently to mix.
4. Evenly distribute the mixture into shot glasses or a silicone mold. Place in the refrigerator for a minimum of 2-4 hours. The result should be jello that is not wobbly at all.
5. When the jello shots have set, take them out of the fridge. If you’re using them, add the edible glitter and orange slices or zest as garnish before serving. Eat and enjoy.
3. Glittery Gold Champagne Jello Shots
There is nothing I love more than making an incredibly refined and sophisticated party treat that involves both champagne and ginger ale. My jello shots twinkle with a light combo of sweet and bubbly flavors, and they’re perfect for cocktailing up any celebration ’cause they look so damn festive.
Ingredients
1 cup champagne
1 cup ginger ale
2 envelopes unflavored gelatin (approximately 5 teaspoons)
2 tablespoons sugar
Edible gold glitter or luster dust
Instructions
1. Take one cup of champagne and one cup of ginger ale and pour them into a saucepan. Evenly distribute the gelatin over the liquids, and allow the mixture to sit for about 2 minutes so the gelatin can fully hydrate and soften.
2. Set the saucepan on medium heat and stir with a light hand as the gelatin turns to liquid. It should take about 3 to 4 minutes to become completely dissolved; if it takes longer, your heat is set too low. Do not allow the mixture to bubble or boil.
3. When the gelatin is completely dissolved, mix in the sugar and stir until it is fully incorporated into the liquid.
4. Take the saucepan off the heat and allow the mixture to cool a bit. Decant the mixture into shot glasses or small silicone molds.
5. Place the jello shots in the refrigerator and let them set for at least 2 hours. After they have set, add edible gold glitter to the tops of the shots for a nice, shimmery finish. They are now ready to serve to your lucky guests.
4. Champagne Bubbles Jello Shots
For someone who enjoys making parties lively with fun additions, these Champagne Bubbles Jello Shots are a festive gift that adds a touch of sparkle to any gathering.Â
They’re a blend of La Marca Prosecco, ginger ale, and unflavored gelatin. I often add a bit of vodka to the concoction for flavor and strength, but I don’t know that it’s really necessary to do both for these to come off as charmingly sophisticated and fun.
Ingredients
1 cup of champagne or sparkling wine
1 cup of ginger ale
2 envelopes of unflavored gelatin
1/3 cup of sugar
1/4 cup of vodka (optional for extra kick)
Edible glitter or edible gold stars (optional for garnish)
Instructions
1. In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the champagne with unflavored gelatin. Allow the mixture to rest for about two minutes, letting the gelatin do its thing and prepare the champagne mixture for the next steps.
2. Set the saucepan over low heat and stir gently until the gelatin and champagne mixture completely dissolves. Maintain a steady, low temperature and never let it boil.
3. Incorporate the sugar and keep stirring until it dissolves completely into the mixture. If you are using vodka, now is the time to mix it in.
4. Take the saucepan off the burner and carefully mix in the ginger ale until everything is well integrated.
5. Pour the mixture into shot glasses and silicone molds. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until the gelatin has set.
6. For a bright and festive touch, sprinkle edible glitter or gold stars on top of your drink before serving.
5. New Year’s Eve Celebration Champagne Jello Shots
With New Year’s Eve coming up, I welcome the brightness that my celebration champagne jello shots provide. Using champagne, white grape juice, and a whisper of vodka, these fancy little jiggly treats encapsulate the mood of the moment.
I like to add a dusting of edible gold stars to amp up the glitz factor for this occasion that absolutely calls for toasting.
Ingredients
1 cup champagne or sparkling wine
1 cup white grape juice
2 envelopes unflavored gelatin (about 4 1/2 teaspoons total)
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup vodka
Edible gold stars or sprinkles (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- The juice mixture is combined with gelatin and allowed to sit for about one to two minutes. This permits the gelatin to fully hydrate and swell before it is incorporated into the mixture.
2. When the gelatin has turned to a gel, the next step is to make the mixture semi-hot. One needs to stir it all the time so that it doesn’t stick to the bottom and burn. The result should be a clear, homogeneous mixture, and it should take no more than 4 minutes. If it needs more time, then either the heat is too low or the stirring is inadequate.
3. Take the saucepan off the heat and mix in the champagne and vodka until they are fully incorporated.
4. Pour the mixture into shot glasses or a small baking dish. Choose the appropriate size for the dish, as the baking time should not be too long once the mixture is set. Alternatively, you can stagger the baking process: start with a short time in the oven, then finish at room temperature.
5. Chill for a minimum of 4 hours or until the shots have completely set. If a dish is being used, cut into neat squares before serving. Enjoy these as part of your festive revelry on New Year’s Eve!
6. Strawberry Champagne Jello Shots
The party favorite that I make with the elegance of champagne and the vibrant sweetness of strawberries is what I call Strawberry Champagne Jello Shots. This delightful and delicious treat mixes champagne with a bit of vodka for good measure and a play on flavors, along with a little bit of unflavored gelatin and a refreshing strawberry puree.
The result is a visually stunning masterpiece that you can enjoy at any gathering, really either “hanging out” or “hmm, here’s a treat that will hit the spot at a classy shindig.”
Ingredients
1 cup champagne or sparkling wine
1/2 cup vodka
1/2 cup strawberry puree
1/4 cup sugar
2 packets unflavored gelatin (about 2 tablespoons)
5-6 fresh strawberries (sliced for garnish, optional)
Instructions
1. In a small to medium saucepan, heat the champagne and vodka over low heat until warm. Do not let the mixture come to a boil. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the unflavored gelatin. Let it sit for 1-2 minutes and then stir the mixture until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
2. Warm the mixture gently while stirring it continuously until the gelatin has completely dissolved. Take care not to let it reach a boiling point.
3. Stir the strawberry puree and sugar into the gelatin mixture, making sure that the sugar is dissolved completely.
4. Take the mixture off the heat and allow it to cool somewhat. Pour the mix into either shot glasses or a silicone mold.
5. Place the jello shots in the refrigerator for no less than 2-3 hours, or until they are completely firm.
6. If you wish, you can garnish each jello shot with a fresh strawberry slice before serving.
7. Raspberry Rose Champagne Jello Shots
There is something so splendid about the mix of sparkling rosé champagne and raspberry liqueur. When combined, these two components create a drink that, while simple to make, has a touch of magic in its flavor and presentation.
Served with a fresh raspberry atop the glass, this cocktail is the ideal way to elevate an ordinary moment into an extraordinary one—and, given that it requires champagne, just the thing for any number of special occasions.
Ingredients
1 cup sparkling rosé champagne
1/4 cup raspberry liqueur (such as Chambord)
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 packet (1/4 ounce) unflavored gelatin
Fresh raspberries (for garnish)

2. Cover the sugar water with the gelatin and let it sit for about 1-2 minutes.
3. Add the raspberry liqueur and heat gently until the gelatin completely dissolves.
4. Take the mixture off the heat and let it cool for a minute or two before you add the sparkling rosé champagne. Do this gradually.
5. Pour the mixture into a mold or small containers, and chill for at least 2 to 4 hours or until set..
6. Prior to serving, adorn every jello shot with a newly plucked raspberry.
8. Black and Gold Champagne Jello Shots
I love creating wonderful things like Black and Gold Champagne Jello Shots for parties. These jiggly marvels are made with champagne, tonic water, and black vodka; they shine with edible gold leaf—but they also taste fantastic.
Each shot is a combination of elegant fizz and a hint of dark drama, and I think they would make an impressive addition to any celebration.
Ingredients
1 cup champagne or sparkling wine
1 cup tonic water

2 envelopes (about 5 teaspoons) unflavored gelatin
1/4 cup black vodka
Edible gold leaf or gold luster dust
Optional: Black food coloring
Instructions
1. In a medium saucepan, tonic water and sugar mix together. They are subjected to a medium heat and stirred until the sugar obligingly dissolves.
2. The mixture should be sprinkled with gelatin that has been allowed to bloom for about 1-2 minutes. The mixture is then heated gently, stirred, and watched carefully until the gelatin has completely dissolved. Boiling is not allowed.
3. Take the mixture off the heat. Incorporate champagne and black vodka into the blend. If a darker appearance is desired, now is the time to add some black food coloring.
4. Pour the mixture into a mold or small containers, and chill for at least 2 to 4 hours or until set.
5. Add a little sparkle to your jello shots. Prior to serving, you may wish to enhance their visual appeal with an extremely light dusting of gold luster dust or a piece of edible gold leaf. Either choice is sure to delight your guests and make your jello shots look as good as they taste.
9. Tropical Pineapple Champagne Jello Shots
The way Tropical Pineapple Champagne Jello Shots blend pineapple juice, coconut milk, and lime makes them a truly refreshing treat. Because champagne and pineapple rum are added, these shots are a delightful twist on the classic.
Serve them next time you have a gathering and want an easy-to-make drink that is also a visually appealing dessert. Because while drinking them is an enjoyable experience, your guests will also just love the way they look.
Ingredients
1 cup pineapple juice
1/4 cup lime juice
1/4 cup coconut milk
1/4 cup granulated sugar
3 envelopes unflavored gelatin
1 cup champagne or sparkling wine
1/4 cup pineapple rum
Pineapple slices or chunks, for garnish
Maraschino cherries, for garnish
Instructions
1. In a medium saucepan, mix together the pineapple juice, lime juice, coconut milk, and granulated sugar. Pour the mixture into the saucepan, and sprinkle the gelatin over the top. Allow the mixture to sit for 2 minutes so that the gelatin can absorb the liquid and swell. This process is called blooming.
2. Put the saucepan on the stove and set it to medium. Pour in the 2 cups of water and the 1 cup of sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves. This will happen at about the same time the water reaches the stage just before boiling. Remember: Don’t let the mixture boil. Boiling is bad for the next stage of our operation.
3. Take the saucepan off the heat and let it cool for a moment. Integrate the champagne and the pineapple rum until they are mixed smooth and even throughout the liquid.
4. Pour the mixture into a mold or small containers, and chill for at least 2 to 3 hours or until set..
5. Prior to serving, decorate each jello shot with a tiny chunk of pineapple and/ or a maraschino cherry. Serve cool and partake responsibly.
10. Sparkling Peach Bellini Jello Shots
I adore making celebratory, whimsical goodies. This is why Sparkling Peach Bellini Jello Shots are ideal for any get-together.
They are a peach drink through and through: ripe, juicy, and fresh. The combo of peach nectar, champagne, and peach schnapps gives you the flavor profile of a Bellini, and then some.

1 cup cold champagne or sparkling wine
1/2 cup cold peach schnapps
Edible gold glitter and/or candy peach rings for garnish (optional)
Instructions
1. Take a medium-sized saucepan and mix together the peach nectar and granulated sugar within it. Apply medium heat to the pan and stir the mixture until the sugar is completely dissolved. Then, take the pan off the burner and put it aside.
2. Spread the gelatin over the peach nectar mixture, then allow it to sit undisturbed for 1-2 minutes so that it can fully hydrate.
3. Whisk the champagne and peach schnapps into the gelatin mixture until there are no separate layers and everything is combined.
4. Pour the mixture into a silicone mold or small plastic cups, filling each one three-quarters full..
5. Chill in the refrigerator for 2 to 4 hours, or until the jelly shots are completely firm.
6. Garnish with edible gold glitter or candy peach rings as you see fit, and then serve. Enjoy these festive Sparkling Peach Bellini Jello Shots during your New Year’s celebrations!
11. Festive Confetti Champagne Jello Shots
I adore how these champagne Jell-O shots take any festive gathering up a few notches. They are made with champagne, ginger ale, and vodka, and they really do taste like a drink you would order at a fancy bar.
I think their textured, shimmery, and extremely glittery (or sprinkles-y) garnish makes them perfect for any New Year’s Eve rager and really just for any statement party, to be honest.
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups champagne or sparkling wine
1 cup ginger ale
2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
2 tablespoons sugar
1/4 cup vodka
Edible glitter or sprinkles (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Take half a cup of champagne and ginger ale and pour them into a saucepan. Sprinkle the unflavored gelatin evenly over the surface of the liquids, and let it sit for about 2 minutes. This will allow the gelatin to absorb some of the liquid and expand—an important step for ensuring a smooth, clump-free result.
2. Stir the mixture slowly and steadily over low heat until the gelatin and sugar fully dissolve; do not let it boil.
3. Take the saucepan off the heat and mix in the last cup of champagne and the vodka.
4. Once the mixture is ready, pour it into jello molds or a baking dish and refrigerate for at least 2 to 3 hours to set..
5. If you’re using a baking dish, cut the Jell-O into the shapes you want after it has set. Then, before serving, you can make your Jell-O look even more enticing by garnishing it with edible glitter or sprinkles.
12. Champagne and Vodka Jello Shots
What I really appreciate about these Jell-O shots is how they can make even the most low-key gathering feel like a real celebration. They are a simple combination of champagne, vodka, and Jell-O, with the latter 2-ingredient making this cocktail a fun twist on the unfriendly, warm shoo-fly pie that is gel.
The only thing better than a gel-free dessert is a Jell-O shot.
Ingredients
1 cup champagne or sparkling wine
3/4 cup vodka
1/4 cup cold water
1/4 cup sugar
3 envelopes unflavored gelatin
Edible gold or silver glitter (optional, for garnish)
Fresh raspberries or other small fruit (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
1. In an average-sized bowl, sprinkle the gelatin onto the cold water and allow it to rest for roughly 2 minutes so that it can bloom.
2. Place the champagne and sugar into a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar has fully dissolved. Take care not to let the mixture come to a full boil.
3. Take the saucepan off the heat. Stir the bloomed gelatin into the warm champagne mixture until it is completely dissolved.
4. Add the vodka and mix well. Transfer the liquid to a measuring cup with a spout for simple pouring.
5. Pour the liquid with care into shot glasses or a mold made of silicone. Refrigerate for a minimum of 2-4 hours, or until set.
6. If you wish, you can add a small piece of fruit and some edible glitter to your dish before serving to make it look even more appetizing.
13. Blackberry Champagne Jello Shots
I adore how Blackberry Champagne Jello Shots bring together the sophistication of champagne and the sweet, tart flavors of fresh blackberries. Add a little vodka, and you’ve got the ideal party treat.
Just imagine your friends popping these shimmering beauties garnished with fresh mint at your next gathering.
Ingredients
1 cup fresh blackberries
2 tablespoons sugar
1 cup champagne or sparkling wine
1 cup boiling water
3 tablespoons blackberry gelatin powder

2. In another mixing bowl, stir together the boiling water and blackberry gelatin powder. Continue stirring until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
3. Combine the ingredients of the gelatin mixture with the champagne and vodka, mixing thoroughly to ensure even distribution.
4. Pour the mixture into shot glasses or silicone molds, filling them halfway.

14. Sparkling Pomegranate Champagne Jello Shots
I love to create refined party treats, and my Sparkling Pomegranate Champagne Jello Shots are just that. They’re playful but classy, with pomegranate juice, champagne, and pomegranate seeds.

3. Stir the gelatin into the mixture with a light hand, ensuring it is thoroughly combined before allowing it to cool and set.

15. Cranberry Champagne Jello Shots
Cranberry Champagne Jello Shots are some of my favorite. What’s not to love?
They combine the festive sparkle of champagne with the sweet-tart flavor of cranberry juice and are super simple to prepare. They really are the perfect classy little twist to add to any celebration.
Here’s how I make them.
Ingredients
1 cup cranberry juice
1/4 cup sugar
2 envelopes unflavored gelatin (about 5 teaspoons)

Fresh cranberries or rosemary sprigs for garnish (optional)
Instructions

2. After the sugar has fully dissolved, take the saucepan from the heat and add the gelatin to the cranberry juice. Let it sit for a minute or two, and then stir it well until the gelatin has completely dissolved and is no longer lumpy.
3. Let the mixture cool a bit before stirring in the champagne and vodka.
4. Pour the mixture into small shot glasses or molds, filling them three-quarters full
5. Chill the shots for a minimum of 2-3 hours or until they are completely firm and solid.
6. (Optional) Prior to serving, add a garnish of either a fresh cranberry or a small rosemary sprig to each shot for an extra festive flourish.

Each one is topped with a layer of chocolate, making them not just a treat for the mouth but also for the eyes. They make an excellent addition to any celebration and a real standout.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Champagne
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1/4 cup maraschino cherry juice

2. Place the saucepan over low heat and stir the mixture until the gelatin dissolves. Then take it off the heat.
3. In a mixing bowl, combine gelatin, water, and cherry juice. Stir until the mixture thickens and resembles the consistency of raw egg whites. (You can use a hand mixer set on low speed if you prefer.) Stir in the Champagne and sugar until the sugar dissolves, then allow the mixture to cool slightly before proceeding.
4. In each slot of a silicone mold or a mini muffin tray, place a maraschino cherry so that the stem is pointing upward. Pour the gelatin mixture over the cherries and refrigerate until the mixture is set, approximately 2 hours.
5. In a bowl safe for the microwave, melt chocolate chips and coconut oil in 30-second increments, stirring until smooth.
6. After the jello shots have set, unmold them and lightly dip the tops in chocolate. Put them back in the refrigerator until the chocolate has set. This will take about 10-15 minutes. Serve the jello shots cold.
17. Glitter Champagne Prosecco Jello Shots
I adore these delightful jello shots fortified with Prosecco or Champagne. They are, by turns, light, frothy, and sweet.
I believe the texture and taste of this bite-sized treat—what I would call a “glitter shot” for its twinkly presentation—depend on the quality of the ingredients and the clever use of them. As with any good drink, start with the best spirits you can find.
Ingredients
1 cup Prosecco or Champagne
1 cup white grape juice
2 envelopes unflavored gelatin (about 5 teaspoons)
2-4 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
Edible glitter for garnish
Optional: 1/4 cup vodka or flavored liqueur (such as peach schnapps or elderflower liqueur)
Instructions
1. White grape juice is poured into a small saucepan, and gelatin is sprinkled on top. After two minutes, the gelatin is sufficiently hydrated to be dissolved in the juice, which has not yet been heated
2. Warm the blend over low heat, stirring all the while, until the gelatin has completely lost itself in the liquid and the whole thing is smooth as can be. Don’t even think about letting it come to a boil.
3. Take the saucepan off the heat. Blend in the Prosecco or Champagne, sugar, and if you choose, a little vodka or flavored liqueur. Stir until the sugar is totally dissolved.
4. Pour the mixture into small shot glasses or a silicone mold. Refrigerate for at least 3 to 4 hours, or until the gelatin is fully set..

6. Enjoy your celebratory New Year’s drink while it is still cold!
19. Sour Apple Champagne Jello Shots
I adore the opportunity to be creative in the kitchen. For me, that means making something deliciously fun and disarmingly pretty—something like sour apple champagne jello shots.
These shots have three key components: sour apple schnapps, champagne, and unflavored gelatin. When it comes to optional ingredients, I have only two: a drop or two of green food coloring and a thin slice of green apple for garnish.
Both the food coloring and the food garnish add a celebratory touch to the shots without deviating from their main flavor profile.
Ingredients
1 cup sour apple schnapps
1 cup champagne
2 packets unflavored gelatin
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup sugar
Green food coloring (optional)
Thinly sliced green apple for garnish (optional)
Instructions
1. Place 120 ml of water in a small saucepan. Sprinkle the gelatin over the top and let it sit for about 5 minutes to allow the gelatin to bloom..
2. The gelatin mixture should be heated very gently over low heat, with constant stirring, until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Boiling is not permitted.
3. Remove the mixture from the heat. Next, add the sugar to the gelatin mixture and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
4. Mix in the sour apple schnapps and champagne. A few drops of green food coloring can be added if a more vivid look is desired.
5. Pour the mixture into shot glasses or a suitable mold, then refrigerate for at least 2 to 4 hours, or until fully set..
6. If you wish, you can garnish each shot with a thin slice of green apple before serving.
20. Champagne Sangria Jello Shots
This festive take on classic party food fuses the bubbly merriment of champagne with the fruity flavors of sangria. Champagne Sangria Jello Shots use white cranberry juice, gelatin, and your choice of champagne or prosecco (we prefer the latter since it’s a bit more affordable) and infuse all that with brandy.
Then, we layer in slices and berries of all kinds, for a jiggly shot that is as fun as it is versatile.
Ingredients
1 cup white cranberry juice
2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups champagne
1/4 cup brandy
1/2 cup sliced strawberries
1/2 cup blueberries
1/2 cup diced green apples
1/2 cup diced peaches
Instructions
1. Put the white cranberry juice in a small saucepan, and then sprinkle the gelatin on top. Let the mixture rest for a minute or two so that the gelatin can fully hydrate and dissolve.
2. Stir the combination constantly while it warms over low heat; the gelatin and sugar must be completely dissolved.
3. Take the pan off the heat and mix in the champagne and brandy.
4. Evenly distribute the strawberries, blueberries, diced apples, and peaches in the bottoms of mini muffin tins or silicone molds.
5. Pour the gelatin mixture over the fruits, filling each mold..
6. Chill for a minimum of 2-4 hours or until completely gelled. After cooling, carefully take the jello shots out of their molds and serve.
