A Halloween-craving ghoul who starts thinking of how to induce the haunted season at home, in her wardrobe – in her kitchen – as often as possible, the thought of Halloween treats came naturally: rich, dark, decadent sweets and baked goods, and pumpkin-flavoured foods.

But as much as I love to eat well during Halloween, I want to eat well all the time, which means it was only a matter of time before I figured out a way to merge the two: Halloween smoothies.

These spooky, eye-catching smoothie recipes not only taste good, they’re good for you, which makes them the perfect Halloween indulgence. They won’t have you feeling quite as ghastly as a serving of candy corn, pumpkin seeds roasted in butter and salt, or a caramel apple.

If you want to be scary and screamingly good, you’ll go for a deep purple ‘Witch’s Brew’ made with antioxidant-rich blueberries and a brilliant green ‘Monster Mash’ made with nutrient-rich spinach and kiwi. You won’t have to melt down any nightmares to make these drinks—they’re easy to blend up in minutes with just a handful of ingredients and a blender.

Read on to hear more about these spooky smoothies and how to make them and oooh and ahhh over my ‘Woo-hoo’ Halloween and ‘Boo-yah’ smoothie treats.
