4. Take the food off the grill and serve it hot with the sides of your choosing.

2. Baked Lemon Dill Salmon

2. Baked Lemon Dill Salmon

Lemon Dill Salmon is a delicious baked salmon dish that is tasty, healthy, and easy to prepare. Tender salmon fillets are enhanced with:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

3. Position the salmon fillets on the baking sheet you prepped earlier. Use a brush to spread the lemon-garlic mixture on the top of each fillet.

4. Evenly sprinkle fresh dill over the salmon. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked all the way through and flakes easily with a fork.

3. Teriyaki Glazed Salmon

3. Teriyaki Glazed Salmon

Salmon fillets that are tender and juicy marinate in a savory mix of soy sauce, mirin, honey or brown sugar, and sesame oil. Garlic and freshly grated ginger complete the marinade, which offers an enticing culinary experience.

The fillets are then glazed with the teriyaki marinade and baked. The flavors are pure and simple and speak to the sophistication of Japanese cuisine.

Ingredients

4 salmon fillets
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup mirin (sweet rice wine)
2 tbsp honey or brown sugar
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp freshly grated ginger

Instructions

1. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, mirin, honey (or brown sugar), sesame oil, garlic, and ginger to make the teriyaki marinade.

2. In a shallow dish, place the salmon fillets and pour the marinade over them. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes, turning them occasionally.

3. Get your skillet or grill hot to a medium-high temperature. Take the salmon out of the marinade and let the excess drip off. Lay the fish on the grill or in the pan and let it sear on one side for a clean 4 minutes. With a spatula, flip it and sear the other side for another clean 4 minutes. Serve immediately.

Salmon fillets, so tender and tasty, deserve to be matched with a sauce or seasoning that tastes as good as they do. And you’re right, the Latin in “a drizzle of olive oil” means “sauce.” So I do a sauce that is a drizzle.
