But is that fair? We all know prices have gone up everywhere in a post Covid age. 10% inflation was the norm for several years, and when you look at the challenge with logistics, the costs, the break down in supply chain costs for all companies increased.

Generally the quality was always what has upheld the Starbucks brand, justifying slightly higher prices than other brands. Also the convenience of knowing the quality is standard across all stores. But is that still a big deal?

Other brands and stores even Seven Eleven are coming out with competing products at lower prices. However what we know about Starbucks is they source all there own coffee beans. The scale they buy and their reach means the quality is higher. Millions of people can’t be wrong?

So although prices are higher, costs are higher to bring this quality.

This is all a great start, and I understand the difficulty for large companies to balance profit an sustainability. But to say they are not ethical or lack environmental focus is a stretch. The way I see it they are doing what they can to protect the environment. but obviously more they could do. For instance there is no excuse for plastic straws, which are still present in the stores.
