Wcdonalds Sauce: A Taste Test

I got the chance to try “Savory Chili WcDonald’s Sauce” recently after ordering a 6-piece McNugget set. Starting out, I could taste mostly ginger and soy sauce with some hints of garlic. Initially, I enjoyed how different the wcdonalds sauce tasted from Mcdonalds other sauces but about four or five pieces later it became too salty for me.

Unfortunately, its sweetness was not able to neutralize the saltiness leaving me wanting for more harmonized flavors. In terms of spiciness, I think the Spiciness was good, but would be nice to have a better sweet taste to go with it. Some users on reddit say its from Pear? I couldn’t tell what the sweetness was from, I couldn’t quite place it.

All in all; my rating for “Savory Chili WcDonald’s Sauce” was 5/10. It had the potential for great flavor but ended up being too salty for me, and the sweetness was a bit off.
