One of the ways that I like to do that is to make what I call ‘fall yogurt bowls’. Not only are fall yogurt bowls light and bright, colorful morning meals, but they’re also a great way to translate all the tastes and textures and other sensory things of fall right to your breakfast table.

I’m addicted to stirring creamy yogurt with the syrupy sweetness of roasted butternut squash, or a blend of tart little apples fresh off the tree. There’s something magical about mixing those flavors with cinnamon and nutmeg, a pinch of stealth-spice clove, but the real sorcery comes from the seasonal fruit I like to mix with nuts and maple syrup.

Here are a few combos that will make your breakfast a fall fiesta.
